modelled after the US Home Land Protection Agency, our Prime Minister on his first day of office has created the Canadian Border Security Agency, of which Canada Customs, RCMP, Coast Guard, Immigration, CFIA and an Emergency Response Department are all a part of. This is amazing news, and hopefully shows that the Canadian Government is finally taking border protection seriously. just thought i'd share the news with my fellow z'ers. Revenue Canada is now no longer affiliated with Customs at all, and all Customs Officers now are under this new agency which is controlled by the Treasury Board. to the US guys, this might not sound like a big deal, but for those of us living in Canada, we recognize just what a huge change this is going to be for our country! just thought i'd share.
